DHEA can dry out your skin and make it a bit itchy, on the other hand it can provide a little bit of energy and has helped me to kick off a late growth spurt (I wouldn't count on this occuring as I am sure it was a bit of a fluke). In any case DHEA should not be taken long term, I wouldn't suggest it for any longer than four months.

I've never taken BMAE so I can't comment on it.
