Opinions from people who use or have used a Neti Pot?!

Question: Did it help? What do you use in it?

Answers: Did it help? What do you use in it?

Yes, and I love it. I have had a sinus infections this last week, and I was using it 2X a day, and it did help. The other thing that helped was Wal-Mart brand of mucinex- it is guafenisen, this will break up the crap, and then "flush" it out with the neti pot!!

Yes, it helped.

Use warm, preferably purified water, with good salt, about 1/4 teaspoon to 8 ounces...

I often add colloidal silver if I have a cold. You can also use half baking soda and half salt.

I used the Neti Pot for the very first time today. I have been sick for 2 days with severe nasal congestion. It works great!!!! Very fast and soothing relief. At first it is a very strange feeling but once you get used to it the relief is amazing. You can buy packets to make the solution or use your own.

To make a homemade solution do the following:
get 8 ounces of distilled water or tap water boiled for 10 minutes. Then 1/4 teaspoon of non-iodized salt and stir in till completely dissolved. Let cool to luke warm then you are ready to fill your Neti Pot and go. Some people use a small pinch of baking soda to buffer the salt solution.

I use the salt packets supplied with it, or if you don't get any with yours, you can buy the NeilMed refills. It's the same stuff, basically a buffered saline solution.

And yes it works really well, especially if you get nosebleeds from dry air, because it moisturises the membranes inside your nose.

My friend used it and she thought it sounded gross, but when she used it every morning and evening, she thought it was the greatest sinus solution. She used sea salt solution in it
