Chicken Ramen Broth Substitute for Chicken Noodle Soup?!


Question: So im trying to get over a cold and i dont take medicine i ran out of chicken noodle soup and its too cold/dont feel like going out to get more, i have TONS of chicken ramen if i just heated up water and mixed the powder would that be a good enough substitute/get the same effect? Its pretty much just chicken broth in powder form right?

Actually, the only remedy that comes from chicken soup is the steam that clears your breathing....unless it's loaded with garlic.and I mean GARLIC, chicken soup is only good for the steam up the nostrils regardless of what anyone says...

Not really. You would be able to replicate the flavor but all the additives in the powder won't help. Drink warm water or hot chocolate.

Kinda...but read the ingredients. Lots of preservatives and any nutritional value has been removed and replaced by chemically altered and made vitamins. You are much better off getting a whole chicken, boil it down, take the chicken out, shred it, put it back with some celery, carrots, onions and maybe some brown rice or barley. This way you get your vitamins the way Mother Nature intended...not some lab rat.

Oh..and avoid dairy products...increases mucus.
