Question: Grapefruit juice is a MAJOR NO NO when mixed with prescriptions. Grapefruit juice DOUBLES the effect of medicine...and mixing medicine with alcohol and then doubling the effect with grapefruit juice is just asking for an accidental overdose. The Grapefruit warning is one of the most missed warnings put on a bottle of pills. Please get informed folks....

Grapefruit juice only impacts medications which a major metabolism pathway is the Cyp 3A4 enzyme. Many medications are not impacted by this interaction.

Some people are naive and just don't know any better. Some do it exactly for those reasons.
Grapefruit and it's juice is a cause for concern for some meds and nothing to worry about with others...
