Answers: I just wanna make sure before i take it my body can handle it and im not gonna die, im 15

I had a friend in college who liked me. One night a bunch of us went out to a house party and drank. He had taken an unknown amount of Xanax and we ended up carrying him back to the apartment--he couldn't stand. He told me things he shouldn't have said and would have regretted if he remembered saying them. We ended up calling an ambulance for him.

He was 20, 6'4", and a fairly seasoned drug user.

You're young and there are safer ways to get high. Don't risk your life over it.

Its a "chill" pill. It really helps calm anxiety. Only use it as prescribed and you will be fine. Relax and let it help!

I am saying if it was prescribed to you! OMG what a bunch of idiots!!

It can kill you if not use properly and it is addictive. leave it alone unless prescribed by a doctor and then only use it as directed.

if you have not been perscribed xanax you should not take it. It is illegal to take drugs that were not perscribed to you.

First of all you should not be taking prescription medication that was not dosed for you.

Xanax is used for the treatment of panic disorders and anxiety.

Side effects are drowsiness or light-headedness. It is usually dispensed in 0.5 tablets 3 times a day for patients suffering with the above symptoms.

Well, the worst thing that it can do to you is kill you.

Or it can damage your heart, cause delusions or brain damage, make you wet yourself (lose bladder control) even hours after taking it, cause nightmares, bedtime sweats that are so bad you look like you dumped gallons of water on your sheets, make you throw up violently, cause dizziness, diahreha, and just only a whole lot of other worse things.

But go ahead and take the stolen medicine for soem hopes of a fake high. I'm sure your parents and friends will get a good laugh out of you wetting your pants in public, or at the worst you'll just break their hearts and end up dying like some idiot child who took medicine that wasn't prescribed to him by a doctor.

P.S. Most anti-depressants also lower your sex drive, and make it so your penis won't get hard. Just consider it another joke for your gym friends to laugh at.

P.S.S. Xanax is made to be started on a very low dose, and the REAL patient has to build up to taking higher doses. This is for their own safety and health.. but hopefully you don't have a high dose :) just think of it as a surprise if you do decide to take it (which by the way is illegal).

Well since you are not using it as prescribed, its safe to say its not going to do anything beneficial for you. Since you just want it for a high, you might want to know the costs to your body and mind for that high.

Central Nervous System - Drowsiness, Light-headedness, Depression, Headache, Confusion, Insomnia, Nervousness, Syncope(temporary loss of consciousness and posture), Dizziness, Akathisia(inability to sit still or remain motionless),Tiredness/Sleepiness

Gastrointestinal - Dry Mouth, Constipation, Diarrhea, Nausea/Vomiting, Increased Salivation

Cardiovascular - Tachycardia/Palpitations, Hypotension

Sensory - Blurred Vision

Musculoskeletal - Rigidity, Tremor

Cutaneous - Dermatitis/Allergy

Other - Nasal Congestion, Weight Gain, Weight Loss

Hope you think the limited amount of high you might get from it is worth the damage you are going to do to yourself. By the way, the youngest first time overdose on Xanax is 11, so thinking you are not going to run a risk of death from the medication because you are 15 is just as stupid as taking a medicine you do not need just to get high.

xanax is ADDICTIVE. go on it when its not prescribed, or necessary will leave you worse off as your body become dependent on it!
abuse of any medication is a bad thing, but when it effects your state of mind and ways of thinking it can LITERALLY drive u insane!
i experience anxiety and its horrible. don't risk it
