Coldsore remedies that work pleeeeaaaase.?!

Question: I've been suffering from cold sores for over 20 years, last year being one of the worst years I experienced the most outbreaks in my life, leaving me very depressed. Fortunately I came across someones post about them having very good success with a preservative called BHT. BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoleune) is an antioxidant and is mainly used in preserving oils, but it has been shown to be very effective in curbing cold sore outbreaks!

Very basic explanation. The herpes simplex viruses, HSV1 and HSV2 and a few other viruses have a lipid coating, this is a fat coating which is used to protect the virus from your immune system. This is why they always come back. BHT basically breaks down this lipid coating, allowing your immune system to attack the virus!

Since I've been supplementing my diet with BHT, I have been outbreak free, and I haven't been outbreak free this long since I can remember!

I'm documenting my experiences at bht-coldsores.blogspot.com and so far it beats everything I've tried.

Vitamin E

pure achol, peel off dryed skin, repeat

Pop the blister and then put perioxide on it.. it usually heals in a day or so..

I thought my daughter was absolutely nuts when she told me this but I tried it and it works:

Take some Comet cleanser and make a paste. Apply and let stand on the cold sore for about five minutes, then rinse off.

Cold sore gone in just a couple days with no pain and no draining.

Use a product called "Herpecin L" (it looks like a blue tube of chapstick - and it's CHEAP). Rub it into the cold sore. On top of that, apply some "Campho Phenique" (comes in a tiny tube - also CHEAP). This numbs it a little. The combination works like a charm! DO NOT POP IT under any circumstances. This will spread it all over your lip!!

Eat more veggies!

L-lysine is an amino acid that may be purchased where ever vitamins are sold...there is also a cream...Abreva works but it is very expensive---there are some prescription drugs for cold sores as well....

This is an old fashioned remedy but it works. Put a little bit of perfume it and it will dry it out. Keep putting it on until it dries. Usually about 2 days.

There are a couple of natural products that will completely eliminate cold sores forever.
