Is there anything natural you can use as a topical antibiotic?!

Question: I am allergic to neosporin and pretty much any other topical antibiotic out there. Is there something else you can put on wounds to prevent infection? (In addition to keeping it clean, that's just common sense.)

Try aloe vera or tea tree oil which is more anti-fungal.

i think amonia from your pee

Honey

Urine

try aloe

Hard liquor (unflavored & unsweetened).... like everclear

aloe.

you don't need antibiotic cream to keep wounds from getting infected unless the doctor/ nurse has told you to.

Keep it clean, bathe it in salt water an covered, creams keep the wound wet and if they are shallow then that delays the healing process

Yes! However it is better to try Probiotics! check this out...the word Bio comes from Life so Anti-Biotic is truly that, Anti Life...there are recent studies showing that probiotics is the NEW and BEST way to start healing your body from all these yukky toxins. For instance check out this site about coconuts, I make my own oil now and use it on my psoriasis. I have stopped the anti-imflamitories too because they are only made to shut up the immunesystem making problems worse for me. http://www.coconutdiet.com/index.htm

The coconut, along with proper diet and make sure to get enough water to aid in carrying all these goodies to your body's thirsty cells have done better than any of the pills they gave me for over 15 years!

Google Probiotics and study for yourself. Be careful about quackery, I look for ones that show me how I can make the stuff for myself and ALWAYS make sure you aren't allergic or have medicine reactions FIRST to anything you try to use!!

A dog's saliva contains iodine. It was used in biblical times.
But the one already posted before me was Bee Honey. It is loaded with antibiotics. There is even a new applicator patch used by doctors that is impregnated with it. They used it for Bed Sores, etc.

I agree with the other poster that most wounds just need to be kept clean and dry and the body heals itself. If you are especially prone to infection or see evidence that a wound is becomming infected you may soak in salt water. Honey is also a well known antibacterial and antifungal as is garlic. Olive leaf extract is a good antiviral. A less natural remedy is to soak the wound in hot water with antibacterial dishwashing liquid,

Coloidal silver is a natural antibiotic. Oregano oil, golden seal, Garlic is also antiobiotic.
Oregano Oil
