What causes colloidal silver to not turn an amber color?!

Question: I;ve read that good coilloidal silver is supposed to be amber colored. I;ve tried making colloidial silver on several occasions and it turns a dark grey color instead. I have had the wire tested and it is in fact silver, what is the probelm here. I am using a 30vdc power supply, with one end connected to one silver wire and the other end to the other silver wire. The leads do not touch in the water and I am using filtered water. Am I doing something wrong.

if you experiment with making CS using different temperature waters I believe that changes the colour. However, I sell two of Australia's leading colloidal silver brands and both are colourless with perhaps a slight metallic tinge.

I'd suggest buying colloidal silver so that you knwo they are fine particles and will not build up in the system, as often happens with home made generators.

I don't know exactly but maybe it's from the silver colloids. I would suggest just buying it. I have found some for very inexpensive off of vitacost.com. GL.
