Pain in chest after taking Cayenne supplement?!

Question: I started taking a cayenne supplement last night. After taking 2 500mg caps, I feel a little pressure in my chest (not quite pain really). Any advice on these? Should I pop open the caps and mix it with water? Should I take them with food as I did? Anyone have success with these improving circulation to hands/feet?

First off I'd take them with food at first..or right after a meal...be SURE to drink a full glass of water with them, regardless of when you take them..as if you don't it can resurface, feeling like pain or very severe heartburn. I mean, hey, it's hot!

Cayenne is pretty much one of the best circulatory herbs out there...ginger is also great for the extremities (hands/feet) so you can always switch if the cayenne seems too strong. However - with cayenne just build up slowly with it..it can work wonders- can take a couple weeks for real results to be felt...but it works immediately at general circulation...so good for you for even starting!

PS...I try to never take mine late in the evening due to laying down and possible heartburn etc...(plus I use the liquid...now that's hot!) :o)

dude ur probably allergic to it

erm.....see a doctor?

perhaps you are getting heartburn from the cayenne pepper?
I have sent you a link from a terrific website called Alternative Health and Herbs Remedies. You can e-mail your questions and description of your symptoms and they will offer you a free online consultation and recommend some kind of herb tincture to heal your ailment. I have taken their stuff and recently i have found it to be effective and I am healthy as ever, thanks to simple, natural herb tinctures. see below

Hot eh? Probably got heartburn or something. I would take the cayenne a little at a time throughtout the day. not too late like the poster mentioned above. Before taking it swallow a tablespoon or two of olive oil before and after you take the cayenne.

Me, I don't see why this would not make your blood pressure higher. The Cayenne. Hence the chest pain. Do you have a way to monitor blood pressure before and after? After I eat black pepper or garlic, I get a strange feeling in my chest, a tightness but not pain. I can feel it, like my chest is filled with foam or something. Could be an allergy.

Just a stab in the dark, but had you completely swallowed the capsules? Sometimes, if I don't have enough water with capsules, they get stuck on the way down and that feels like pressure in my chest area. I have used cayenne pepper powder on my toes (over my socks so it doesn't get into any abrasions on my feet-ouch!) to keep them warm while figure skating. It really works well and I wouldn't skate without it.
