I can't seem to stop procrastinating...?!

Question: Lately I have been having a HUGE problem with procrastination. I'm in college and it has been effecting my grades. =( Myspace doesn't help either. It's so addicting! I tend to get on myspace and then before I know it, hours have gone by... =( I also can't seem to stay awake once I do start studying. What can I do to help myself stay more focused on studying?? What are also come good studying techniques to help me remember everything for a test??

make a list of what needs to be done, and promise yourself a reward (like going on the net) when you are done. always make a list the night before to start the day off right!
also, are you a perfectionist? being afraid to fail is one of the main reasons we procrastinate...and it is guaranteeing what we are afraid of! good luck.

Deactivate myspace! Hope this helps<3

get off this web site and start studying....NOW!

Make it a little easier on yourself . Get into memory enhancement on the net, There's a lot of memory tricks that are simple to learn that will make your studies a lot easier.Try the use of the Phonetic Alphabet.................GIB

Canucks is right. You need to take control of your life. Quit dicking around and do what needs to be done. I'd say that the best natural remedy is a swift kick in the @ss. Get to work.

I have the same problem. I spoke to a psychologist about it as it was causing problems with my family and household.
The main point is that you are the only one stopping yourself, so just do it!
I felt resentful at that concept, but it's true when you think about it. I'd sit about moping about what I hadn't achieved, would think about what he'd said, say 'JUST DO IT!' to myself, then get up and do it. The time you spend worrying is a waste of time. Good luck.
