Does anyone know the cure for a HORRIBLE hangover???!

Question: The traditional recipe where I am from (the South) is Coca Cola (and more of it, depending on the strength of your hangover)

Supposedly (and I believe it) the Coca Cola secret formula contains ingredients which will help (in the South, many pharmacies stock Coca Cola syrup). The sugar content in the Coca Cola will definitely help (so do not consider using diet Coke)

If you have no Coca Cola on hand when you wake up on the morning after, then stir a tablespoon of sugar into 10 oz of water and drink it down. A little while later, do another dose.

Drinking alcohol dehydrates the body. Drink a lot of water during the day.

If you suspect that you might be doing some heavy drinking, before you go out, or before you begin, boil an egg and put it in the refrigerator. (a long time ago, a dear, now departed, friend introduced me to this pre-cure, which he had learned in Uruguay):
If you eat a boiled egg before hitting the hay, after having drunk way too much (but preferably not enough to have to worship the porcelain goddess, or, if that is not possible, after having worshiped her) the hangover effects will be drastically reduced. (in my experience, it does work, but you must boil the eggs before you go out, in order to avoid the possibility of fire)
(once, when I had to avail myself of this cure, although I had no boiled eggs handy, I had some Chinese thousand year eggs... I ate one whole... and it worked!!!)

Stop drinking!

Yes, I do.

Uhm. Make sure you drink plenty of water, don't take any pain killers, it'll just make it worse. Just lie down for awhile IN THE DARK! It works for me.

the only sure cure for a hangover is death. a better idea though is to stop drinking or never drink enough to get a hangover.

Yea, limit your drinking to a reasonable level the night before and you won't get a hangover.

don't do it again.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ALL YOU PEOPLE?! STOP DRINKING?! Give me a break!
So, here is what I do for a nasty *** hangover.
Ginger Tea (strait ginger, none of the other stuff put in these tea bags)
Dramamine (this will knock out the nausea for sure if the ginger does not work)
If you can...go on a walk around the block to sweat just a little so you don't feel that useless. I know...how about taking a walk to the liquor store and get a Pear Cider then listen to some records or watch some TV....
IF you can do all these...it has a great cumulative effect and you will feel A LOT better for the rest of the day and tomorrow.

Try out some of these treatments for hangover here. Hope it helps.
