Whenever questions about cannabis are asked there are always answerer's who don't smoke it and consequently don't know what they are talking about.

I have smoked it and I have taken anti depressants. I can tell you from experience that cannabis be very good for depression, it cures it very quickly whereas anti depressants from the doctor are very bad for you. I was not capable of working when on anti depressants and the drug killed my libido for a long time. After I stopped taking the anti depressants and started smoking cannabis I have turned my life around and now I run my own business.

No, no, no...

Perhaps she missed a pill, perhaps she's just having mood swings... the mary jane had nothin' to do with it.

It is an anti-depressant, so it should intensify it not conflict.

it could...in J.R.O.T.C we studied drugs (pot, pills, ect), sorry i dont remember all the details but mixing difrent items could have some pretty serius effects...im not saying something WILL happen...but just expect the worst case senario just incase so if something does happen then youll be prepared

There have been cases; one I know personally; where cannabis can trigger mental health problems.

i found i didnt want to smoke it as much and when i did it didnt quite have the same effect,so i started drinking more!

at least 1 study has shown a decrease in depression in cannabis users.

sadly, that 1 study is used time and time again by people seeking to profit from promotion of cannabis.

there are several scientific studies linking cannabis to depression.

The chemical itself is closely related to naturally occurring opiates of the body.

Currently, there isnt any consensus among the scientific community as to whether there is any genuine effect on the depressive state of a user.

Sadly, science has yet to find concrete evidence linking THC to any specific metabolic pathways in which they are certain of the function...so the effect is still scientifically unquantifiable, leaving research to asking smokers "do you feel better, or worse?"

Best solution is, dont do it unless you know what is gonna do...but that would be boring, so im sure your friend will want to find out themselves no matter what we say!

in a word, yes

anti-depressant + depressant = conflict!
