Can I just make my own MedicAlert bracelet?!

Question: I don't have enough money to join MedicAlert right now, and I need a bracelet. Would it be cheaper, and easier, to make my own, or should I just join when I get the money?

I use good old army/Navy Dog Tags which can be bought at any Army supply shop in the UK and they work.
I am both a epileptic and Diabetic and after having a couple of seizures I found that the ambulance guys always check my dog tags, in which is en-scribed upon them my illness.
They only cost 2.99 pounds at any Army and Navy Store.
Rubber coating ones are the best.

You could make one but people you may need help from in an emergency may not recognize it or know its purpose in order to save your life.

you should be able to buy one in the drug store with the symbol for medicine on it then just inscribe on it what the issue is .
belonging to the computer program is a good idea but if the issue is stamped right on it that is fast and works .

I have seen other kinds of medical alert bracelets in pharmacy's. I'm sure there is another company you can order from, for whatever one needs to be alerted for.

Look up medical alert bracelets, on the Internet.

I'm sorry, it doesn't seem to be much help.

Some one else may not recognize you home made version but You can get a cheaper version at the drug store and make an ICE ( In Case of an Emergency) card to carry in your wallet or purse .An ICE card should list your name condition ,your meds. doctor and who to contact in case of an emergency. This is the same thing that these companies do ,is to read this inforamtion .
