Do healthy people with strong immune systems still get slammed by viruses on occ!

Question: There are viruses that change their DNA so rapidly that the human immune system can't keep up with them all. It takes many, many generations for humans to "weed out" some susceptible people and produce a virus-resistant person.

There is always a percentage of the human population that is resistant to disease or infection from viruses or bacteria. About 30% of Europe's population died in the Middle Ages (after 1345) from the plague. So 60% survived - few could live unexposed at the time. A very large percentage (maybe as much as 75%) of American Indians were wiped out by diseases contracted from Europeans (syphilis, measles, etc).

The people who lost their lives were not necessarily those with inadequate immune systems - just inadequate for those particular assaults on their health.

Yes.

I can't remember the last time I had a cold or flu. I do have a mold allergy once or twice a year. Usually a few days of feeling under the weather then I'm fine. I also eat a 95% true organic diet. I grow it with no chemicals. I have been around people with flu and strep throat with a fever, but I haven't gotten in over 10 years.

YES!

There are some conditions that leave people with good immune systems vulnerable, like a deep cut, going out in the cold after a shower (since your pores are wider and airborne bacteria can get in easier), and inhaling a person's nasal discharge after a sneeze

Yes. I had a homeopathic MD I used to see that said it's actually a sign of a healthy person to get sick at least once or twice a year. He said this proves your immune system is working properly. And the people who never get sick, are the ones who end up with more serious diseases later on in life.
