CalMagZinc are easy to get at any drug store.

take em out for a walk

glass of tonic water before bed

Avoid caffeine and too much sugar, firstly. Then try some milk to relax your muscles (I'm sure real milk works the wonders, but I stick to soy). A quick jog or a walk sometimes helps me.

There's only one product I've seen that's not a prescription that helps... it's called "Leg Cramps with Quinine" from the Hylands brand. Many local drug stores carry it, but it depends on what variety of homeopathic products your local stores carry. Good luck!

Avoid coffee and caffeinated cola drinks from afternoon forward.
Drink a couple of cups of chamomile tea before you go to bed. Make sure your legs are warm while you sleep, wear socks if you have to.

Moderate exercise: half hour of stretching first thing in the morning, half hour of yoga before bed, and walking three times a week.

Massaging the legs before bed can help.

A warm bath before bed with four drops each of marjoram essential oil (avoid if pregnant) and lavender essential oil in four teaspoons of sweet almond oil. This relieves anxiety and acts as a muscle relaxant.

Homeopathic: Rhus tox (30c) ( muscle disorders) and Tissue Salt Mag. phos. (6C) (spasms and involuntary muscle contractions)

Exclude caffeine, and eat foods rich in potassium, such as dried apricots, bananas, avocados, and potatoes.

Increase calcium intake from leafy green vegetables, almonds and Brazil nuts.

Increase magnesium - found in fruits and vegetables, whole grains, lentils and brown rice.

You are going to think I'm crazy but why not try it? Put a bar of soap under the sheet of your bed. I've not tried it myself but several people swear by it. Good Luck!

A good calcium/magnesium/potassium supplement, along with exercise and drink plenty of pure water should help.

"sit" against a wall with legs bent at 90 degree angle until your muscles ache. Do as long as you can...usually less than a minute!

the main things are take magnesium and potassium
before you go to sleep.

Try meditation and yoga...the cause of RL syndrome is not really understood that well...but some people have had success with meditation
