Seeking natural alternative to provigil. what about green tea capsules?!

Question: Green tea would only help for occasional use but Provigil is usually prescribed daily. Caffeine helps but is physically addictive. Once you are at the point where you would suffer severe headaches from caffiene withdrawal then it only helps wake you up and not really to stay awake. It just looses its bang.

So, the only "natural" alternatives I can suggest would be lifestyle changes. Make sure you get enough quality sleep. Have you had a sleep study? If not, get one! Take naps if you have to for safety reasons so that you are not driving drowsy.

Then there is the whole "eat right" because "you are what you eat" complex. I know that sounds so generic but I have suffered with excessive daytime sleepiness since I was a teen and what I eat and drink and how I sleep plays a huge part of the severity of my symptoms. I had to approach the improving of the quality of my life (just staying awake all day) wholistically. Learning to deal with stress in healthy ways has a significant impact, as well.

I should probably mention excercise but since that is not something I practice well, I shall not preach it. I'll leave it up to your doctor. But, seriously, they have a point. I know that it would help me greatly but...

Something that has been receiving a lot of hype in the last few years is Vitamin B. I have no idea really how and why it works and I have never tried it and my neurologist has not recammended it to me. So, I cannot say anything else about it other than for its heavy marketing.
