SEX!!!

working out, punching things, running

sleep

Sex? A massage? (or the latter followed by the former?)

Exercise

yoga

adrenaline... even riding horses would work..well, at least one at a time, not horses all at the same time, although, that may be a heck of an adrenaline rush....

Best to realize what is causing the stress in first place and avoid or remedy the situation/thing.

Exercise.

Exercise because it burns the adrenaline that your body manufactured in response to the stress.

Most people do not realize that you cause your own stress by how you react to a situation.

If you can change the situation, do so. If you can't, learn to shrug and let it go rather than getting into a twist about it.

A good root always clears the mind

alcohol, drugs and smoking are not good ways of dealing with stress, they place additional wear on the body and give the mind false signals of relaxation.

Yoga and/or meditation have been found to be excellent stress reducing exercises for mind and body.

Herbal tea's can calm stress for short periods, as well as herbal bath soaks (lavendar, chammomile, licorice...etc.)

You can use heat packs on your neck and shoulders during the evening. (those times when most of us find that we are sitting on the couch watching television.) This will help calm the body's muscles and promote a relaxed state of sleep.

Massage is always good too.

Determining what is causing your stress and making short term and reachable goals to slowly minimize the stress causes will help in the long term. For instance, if it is money. Make a list of your wants and your needs. Many of us find that we often confuse the two and spend unecessary money on things that we want, but don't really need.

Good luck.

Exercise is a great stress reliever -- so is walking, yoga, meditation... art -- try painting or sculpting -- creative things help us to relieve stress, too.

bummin out on the couch
burnin up the computer keyboard. :)

Mind and soul healing....! http://www.soulwisdom.net

I love a little meditation "me-time" to wind down and relax... also using a sauna/steam room... and learning how to limit/remove the things from your life that you find the most stressful.

Smoking cigarettes is actually a stressor. Smoking will make you more stressed. It's true, look it up. The ingrediants in cigarettes make the body stressed and can actually make you feel worse even though you THINK it makes you feel better. Nicotine actually only stays in your bodies system for 24 hours, so once you dont smoke a cigarette in 24 hours your detoxed. That craving is basically all in your head out of habbit.
Try vitamins, St, Johns Wort, Valerian root to help you sleep if stress keeps you up.
Sex too!

I get your question, your screening out answers that are bad for you to get ones that are good for you.

The best stress relievers are exercising during the day rather than evening, to never skip the most important meal of the day, breakfast and eat 6 small meals and healthy snacks all day long, and to give yourself alone time before you begin your routine for bed time.

Dirrrty SEX, Group SEX, SUN BATHING or SWINGING>>>LOL

ashwaganda is good

Ashtanga yoga, chamomile tea, valerian, and oddly enough, ginseng. Although it is usually considered a stimulant, it has been shown to be an effective herb for those with stress and anxiety.

The best non-substance stress reliever is distance running. Join your school's Cross-country team or train for a 10k. Distance running produces the famous, "runner's high", which is the body's release of endorphins. These are natural stress inhibitors
and if nothing else, after a hot shower and nap- you won't even remember what it was that was stressing you!
