What is the proper dosage of vitamin E daily?!
Question: Very good question! minx has it right when it comes to the official guidelines, but research on a large number of nurses (about 10,000 in the study I think) suggests that for prevention of heart disease (which is one of its main uses) the optimum amount is about 400iu, which can't be got from realistic amounts of any food.
A few cautions: Vitamin E is much more effective in its natural form (d-alpha tocopherol or mixed tocopherols); vitamin E is a bit anticoagulant, so if you are on anticoagulant drugs be very careful and see your doctor first before taking it; and it also lowers blood pressure a bit - same advice.

Do you mean the RDI/RDA?? Recommended daily intake?? The RDI/RDA for adults is 8 - 10 IU. This requirements is based on the National Research Council's latest revised allowances.
The best and most nutritious way to get your daily requirements of Vitamin E is to eat more foods rich in vitamin E ie ~ wheat germ, organic cold pressed vegetable oils, nuts, brussels sprouts, leafy and green vegies, spinach, whole wheat, whole grain cereals and breads and eggs?
good health to you?
