Question: Does it really promote healing of the throat, esophagus and stomach?
Can you give me a source for your info?

Yes, I've used it for just that purpose.
BUT, a MUCH better product is HepatoPro (formerly GastroPro). The effect on my irritated GI tract is nothing less than dramatic.
For the throat/esophagus I would also recommend 'Natural EsophaGuard'.
You can get both of these from Life Extension.
Links below. (As well as DGL licorice).
Good Luck!!!
Licorice is used in Chinese medicine quite a a lot and is actually antibacterial and immunity boosting. Boil about 9 g of bark in 3 cups of water and drink as a tea. You can order the herb on line
