Vitamins/foods that give you energy?!

Question: Can someone PLEASE tell me some Vitamins or herbal supplements that help you with energy?

I know getting a good night's rest wil help, but that PLUS something else?

I'm starting a new job, and I'll need the energy, and I want something legal don't want to drink coffee cause that will make you crash.

So please...can you tell me ANYTHING? Foods even.

10 points to best answer and suggestions!

Thank you so so much!!

I have had really good luck with vitamin B complex and Apple Cider Vinegar. I take two tsp of organic, unfiltered apple cider vinegar 3 times per day. I mix it with about 1/8 tsp baking soda and a little warm water to help it absorb faster. I have noticed a huge improvement in the quality of my sleep, my overall mood and especially my energy level. It took me about 2 weeks to really feel the full results of it. Apple Cider Vinegar is a natural detox agent and helps with all sorts of things. Read about it (see my source below). Also, high protien foods and low carbs. Snacking on almonds and dried cranberries, for example. Good luck!

Emergen-C

theirs the jellybeans that give you quick energy i saw some a target they work pretty good..when your energy goes low eat some more and your right back with energy

Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables
cut out all junk food
I switched to sea salt and that helped my energy
Vitamin Bcomplex and omega helps
or a multi vitamin and omega--use flax instead if you can't handle the fishy taste of the omega

If you would like to know about a supplement that you can take to help you with your energy. Click on the link below. I have been taking it for three years and it has really helped me.

L-Tyrosine is a natural amino acid protein that can help with energy and you can get it at GNC or the like. It doesn't have the down that caffeine has.

Try to stay away from caffeine, especially in the morning, as it's affects do you no good in the morning. If you are a caffeine drinker, wait until near noon to drink.

Stay away from sugary foods. Proteins are good for sustained energy. Try Peanut Butter.

This is the only formula that works for me and I hope it works for you :)

Green tea is good. My school starts at 7:00 and i used to drink green tea and lemon and i know that Helped me A LOT! especially with algbra two at 9:00. on the other hand, my mom likes to drink matte. it's like herbal coffee(without the crash). Matte also has kind of a weird flavor (VERY HERBAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) but it's good for the energy thing. For foods. green things. anything green. salad, kale, seaweed, anything. Beyond that, i have no idea.

Many people do not realize that sugar becomes an addiction. The more you eat the more the body craves it. It becomes a vicious cycle. The worst part is, it robs the body of energy, makes one feel unwell and a whole host of other malaises. If you can cut out ALL sugar from your diet for a month, I guarantee you will notice a difference in your energy level, your general well being, and your overall health. Once you get over the sugar cravings your body will throw a fit over, you will notice the difference.

Vitamin C (lots)

Apples

Lots of fresh water, no ice

Freshly juiced vegetables (use a juicer, not a blender, to remove the fiber) - this is a HUGE energy boost. Go to a juice bar if you don't have a juicer. Carrot/apple/parsley is my favorite.

Fish oil calms me down and makes me think more clearly. Also flaxseed oil and other omega-3 oils. IT DOESN"T HAVE TO TASTE FISHY - the good brands don't. Barlean's is the best brand I've tried, pricy but worth it, get it at health stores.

I use a vitamin supplement called "Body Balance" from Life Force International. You can order it from online, and there may be distributors in your area. This is the single BEST thing I have ever used - it boosts my energy AND my mood unbelievably!!!

Things to avoid:

Sugary foods
Dairy, esp. ice cream
Heavy, greasy foods - fried foods
Processed foods, anything "fake", like chips, cold cereals, anything with tons of additives.

For loads of natural energy try MAXgxl.
