Why do anti-depressents cause weight gain?!


Question: Because being depressed causes people to lose their appetite. The anti-depressant causes people not to feel depressed anymore, therefore they gain their appetite back, begin eating more & gain weight.

Depressed people don't eat right, so not being depressed probably actually causes you to return to your natural weight. The way to counteract this is to exercise three or four times a week - then you can eat whatever you want!

They make the liver sluggish.

In the same way pot gives you the munchies.
