Question: Yes they can be. I used to taken Lithobad (lithium carbonate) for depression and Valium for anxiety. The same doctor prescribed both and there were no adverse side effects. It is definitely okay to take them together.

Look it up on web MD. Doc W

whats valiun and lithium ask ur doctor

Reads like you are taking something.
I thought lithium was a component of a battery

I don't know why you would take a valium which is a downer and then lithium, which is a "feel good" chemical found in the brain. A lot of people that smoke do so because cigarettes have lithium in it, and, doctors prescribe lithium to some people to counteract depression. Hope this helps.

Lithium is a very strong drug for depression. If you need something for anxiety there are safer drugs than Valium; like Buspar. Ask your doctor to prescribe something. Never take drugs that have not been prescribed for you personally by a doctor who has examined you. Expecially don't take Lithium or Valium because they are both dangerous. It's safer that way. Lithium is actually a poison as are many drugs. See the links
