Cure for Baldness?!

Question: Once you have lost your hair is there anything you can do to make it grow back? (besides hair plugs, I mean actually grow back) My sweet boyfriend would do anything to grow his hair back.

Only in rare cases does hair grow back. One in 100,000 men can restore hair loss. Probably less than that. There are a lot of remedies (vitamins, tonics, spray, gel, Rogaine, etc.) but ALL of them are a disappointment and a waste of money in my opinion.
Once a hair follicle is dead, it can't be revived. Not yet anyway. Maybe science will come up with something. The best results MOST people will have with hair loss remedies is the growth of very light (in color) patches of hair. It grows like arm hair. I don't think achieving this is worth it.

Hair plugs? Bad idea. Your bf will absolutely hate them.

Inexpensive hair piece? Bad idea. That goes without saying.

Expensive hairpieces? They look alright. They do look convincing. But they require a lot of maintainence. You don't just put one on your head and forget about it, you have to have it "fitted" every few months and have the rest of your hair cut to fit the hairpiece. This is what Hair Club for Men sells you.

Hair transplants? They work on a few people. Not everybody. They're costly and quite painful (more like a nagging pain). They take a long time to grow the transplanted hair (over a year). And if you get a bad doctor it will look like a nightmare.

Lots of guys shave their heads bald. In my opinion it's the best option. On the day your bf shaves his dome, tell him to go out and buy a nice pair of sunglasses. To celebrate his new look.

I hope this helps! Don't let him waste his cash or time!

1.Saw palmetto is believed to have a similar mechanism of action to the anti-androgenic drug finasteride (Propecia), which has been used in low doses for hair loss.

2.Folic acid, biotin, vitamin B5, para-aminobenzoic acid (PABA), and silica are supplements that may help maintain the color and thickness of hair.

3.Be sure to check your daily intake of zinc through supplements. Intake of 30 mg or higher for more than three months can induce a deficiency of copper, and low copper levels can result in hair loss.

4.The results of one research study suggest that the essential oils of thyme, rosemary, lavender, and cedarwood mixed with an oil and applied on the areas of hair loss may stimulate hair growth.

Hair Oil Recipe -
3 drops of thyme, 3 drops of lavender, 3 drops of rosemary, and 3 drops of cedarwood
1/8 cup of grapeseed oil, 1/8 cup of jojoba oil

Mix the ingredients together. Apply several drops of the mixture to areas of hair loss each night, massaging gently into scalp for 3-5 minutes. Store the oil tightly covered. Do not take internally or near the eye area.

5.In traditional Chinese medicine, hair loss is linked to kidney deficiency syndrome. Other symptoms of kidney deficiency are weakness and fatigue and low back weakness. Kidney energy is believed to naturally decline with age, but people with early or accelerated hair loss may have particularly weak kidney energy. Kidney tonics are usually recommended.

6. Before starting the above supplements do a liver cleanse first.

maybe he can try some vitamins. they work for alot of people. or men's rogaine. good luck
