Does accupuncture really work?!
Question: Yes. It helped me thru my last pregnancy and I recommend it to everyone. I have migraines and they completely stopped as long as I got a treatment once a week. And it was cheaper than my meds with none of the side effects.
I also use it for back pain and I feel much better.

I would like to find out the answer to this too. However, I am waiting on pins and needles.
I enjoy accupuncture. I feel so much better when I leave.

I do think it works. I have had it done for pain in my neck & back but it can sometimes take a few to several treatments. It blocks pain receptors by inserting small needles (painless).
There are new laser acupuncture treatments out now as well that stimulate the nerves in less time and can actually very relaxing.

People that I know who've had it all say that it works wonders. You do have to be careful and go to someone with certification and a good reputation.
The medical literature on it is pretty definitive - it helps with pain management and a number of other things. It ain't a miracle worker, though, and you should always get checked out by a doctor first, just to make sure you don't have something that may benefit more from real meds.
