Any natural cures for athlete's foot?!

Question: My doctor gave me a prescription for Gris-peg, but I'm wary to take it because it says it causes dizziness, and I already get dizziness with my anxiety. I'm also worried it may interact with my Paxil. I'd rather try something else first.

Vick's Vapor Rub (the ointment, not the cream) will cure any and all foot/skin issues, including plantar's warts. I've never had any luck with Tea Tree Oil, no matter how many times it has been applied. You just stink. Clean and scrub your feet with soapy water. Rinse. Dry thoroughly. Apply Vick's Vapor Rub then put on clean socks. Do this three times a day and it will be gone in less than a week. Then just apply whenever you feel it coming back.

Tea Tree Oil has been proven effective. You can get a bottle at the drug store, usually with the manicure stuff. You can also use clotrimazole cream on it, which is available over the counter.

It MAY cause dizziness. You can ask the pharmacist if there is a possibility of drug interaction.

It sounds crazy but the old military way of doing it is peeing on your feet in the shower.

tea tree oil sposed to be good you rub it between the toes x

Athlete's foot is a fungus. Grapefruit Seed Extract is a natural antifungal. Soak in clear water with approx 10 drops of GSE per 12 oz of water. Or, you can make a stronger wipe for your feet - 10 drops to 6 oz. Tea tree oil will also help.

Keep your feet out of socks and shoes as much as possible, and you will likely have to treat those also. They can be washed in a solution of GSE.

It sounds disgusting but the oldest treatment I've heard of for this is urine, just pee on your feet while in the shower. You can presumably wash it back off and I've never tried it.

What did work for me was to be meticulous with foot hygiene, keep them clean by washing more than once a day, treat them with talcum powder, including between the toes to be sure they stay dry. Tea tree oil may help but like any fungus it needs moisture to survive. Deprive it of moisture and it will die off. You may have some painful chapping until it does but it weill eventually go away.

Always wear socks or sandals in a public shower so it won't come back.
