TCM aficionados: Cold weather question?!

Question: Cold weather seems to take away (zap) my energy. I move slower and it takes me 7X longer to do things. Some of it is mental I guess because I have to psych myself out to deal with cold wood floors, a cold bathroom, cold air etc. I do so much better in warm weather because originally I'm from a hot country. Do you have advice for me e.g. accupressure ughhh I'll file away the advice for next winter since spring is coming. Thank you.

The biggest thing in the cold weather is to avoid cold and cooling foods.

No salads, ice, white sugar, yogurt, fresh cheeses, soy, spicy foods, bitter foods, or raw fruit. Drink water closer to room temperature.
Start drinking tea. Use honey as a sweetener.
I avoid fish, with the exception of salmon, which has a good amount fat. I decrease my consumption of chicken (spring/summer meat), and increase my consumption of lamb, pork, duck and beef (winter meats).
Eat seasonally: more root vegetables, winter squashes and tubers, less leaves, stems and sprouts. Stick to baked apples and pears if you want fruit.
I make a lot of soups and stews, risottos, and casseroles in the winter. Just think warm and hearty food.
