Goji Juice?!

Question: Does anyone know if goji juice is approved by the FDA?

And also, is it safe to give to a 6 month old baby? I'm asking, because my stupid mother in law is insisting that I give this to my twins everyday..and I'm trying to prove her wrong, she's trying to tell me how to parent my children.

Thanks!

Goji isn't approved by the mentally impaired, mercury slinging mafioso, no.

It's safe to give to your children, but not in excessive amounts, obviously. I don't see why they'd need to supplement with that expensive stuff, though. Ask your MIL to research the health benefits of pineapple juice. It's better known, totally approved by your cute little boys and girls in the super-cool-health-gee-wizz department, and it's of an enormous benefit to growing children and adults alike. Plus, something I'm sure you can identify with, it'll allow your children the chance to get a more restful sleep. That, over all things, can be a life changing health plus. They won't feel drowsy or anything... it's not alcohol... but one of the most essential nutrients in regards to the sleep cycle is potassium, and it's chock full of the stuff. : ) Remember, potassium/sodium ratios are the hall monitors of waking concentration, too, so your child will be in the clear there, too. Vitamin C levels are fair, it contains many trace minerals, it's light and tasty, and it doesn't stain floors or table tops like darker juices do. It's also more fluid; not quite as thick. It's much less expensive, too, and won't go rancid as quickly as some juices.

Edit: ""Added sugar is very unhealthy and it is in baby food that you probably give to your baby everyday."" ------->
Added sugar should be the least of our worries, as far as baby and child nutrition goes. : P But, yeah, all of the sugar completely screws the child's intestinal microbe balances (Hope you've squirt-proofed your carpet...), depletes essential mineral (especially calcium) deposits, damages elimination organs, etc.

No it is not, but neither is apples, oranges or pears. You must not feed anything to your baby, since the FDA does not approve of any foods, only drugs. They will disallow a food if it is bad.

Goji berries are a super nutritional food that can be juiced to make juice. Just like mangosteen juice, acai juice and gat juice are very healthy juices. Added sugar is very unhealthy and it is in baby food that you probably give to your baby everyday.
