Yes, but if you have persistent serious heartburn, you may have gastritis which can lead to erosion of the esophagus. You should see your doctor and talk to him about a medicine to take every day to treat your heartburn. I did and I'm so glad. Also, you should put 2" blocks under the top of your bed to raise it higher. It will keep the acid from flowing up into your throat at night. Good luck!
Yes, but remember that this is a lot of sodium. It would be better to take Tums (calcium carbonate) or better yet one of the aluminum based antacids.
You need to drink more water. Use unfluoridated water. Drink at least 8 glasses a day and you will not have heartburn any more, at least most people who have heartburn are suffering from dehydration...maybe not a full 100%, but close.

Try raw chopped garlic. 1 clove daily. You'll be burping in no time with no acid reflux plus you'll be helping your heart.:)
It works! DH had terrible issues since he was a child that no Doctor could cure with pills or surgery. I put him on this & he asks for it daily!:) No problems anymore.
