yeah it works, i thin the awful-ness of the vinegar kinda distracts you. I find a more comfortable way is to drink out a glass from the other side. works every time for me anyway!
The kid with incurable hiccups tried everything and nothing worked until she got an implant in her ear to stifle her diaphragm.
i havn't try vinegar ...
but if u can make that person angry , the hiccups will gone when they get angry ..
and another way is drink lots of water
I was prescribed medicine for hic-hic-hic cups,when I heard what they cost hic I hic was cured.

All hiccup cures are directly linked to taking your mind off of hiccuping.
What I do after I get the hiccups is force them away by the second or third hiccup. I make a decision to not have the hiccups and I put it out of my mind. As soon as you get the first hiccup and are on to the second, say " NO. GO AWAY!" It works for me every time.
Other ways involve certain ways to drink certain beverages, being scared, holding breath, and all sorts of other things which are designed to DISTRACT you. I've had hiccups cured before by someone who asked me what I had for breakfast. I had to think about something besides hiccuping and they went away just like that.
Hiccups are MENTAL and you can control them as such. You just have to decide that you're not going to have them shortly after they start. If you get into a hiccup rhythm and begin to anticipate the next hiccup, it's too late.
Apple cider vinegar is supposed to cure the hiccups.
