im not sure what they are sorry but pick me please

I've been getting B-12 shots for about the last 15+years and now I'm stopping. It doesn't do anything for me. It's supposed to give U more energy, etc., help with memory loss, but hasn't done either for me anymore, in fact I can't say if it ever has. Used to take diet pills along with the B-12 and that's where I got my energy from, but not taking the pills anymore, shots do nothing for me. But remember..... everyone's system is different!!

You're not really a nurse, are you?

Cobalamin is the name for vitamin B-12. There are no cons. It works with folic acid to synthesize cellular DNA and red blood cells. It also maintains the health and stability of the myelin sheaths that surround many of the axons of our neurons.

I've never needed them but have certainly given them. The injections are given intramuscularly (IM), in a large muscle, usually the buttocks. A typical injection schedule might be as follows: The initial IM injection of 1000mcg followed by 1000mcg IM daily x4, then 1000mcg IM q weekly x4 and 1000mcg IM q 1-3 months with the frequency depending on B-12 serum levels.
