If you have never flushed your nose before, it's different.
Just flushing with plain water can help alot.
I would put the extract on my tounge or skin first to test it and see if it's overly astringent.
Try cranberry as a natural antiobiotic and take the time to heal.
Golden Seal and Echinacea are good supplements as well.

probably

Uh...probably. I would use salt water instead.

it will sting and youll probably want to wash it out with water after, but if you think it will work, go for it

Probably, but the sinus infection hurts, too, doesn't it? Was there a recommendation somewhere from a doctor to do so?

Why would you do that if the usual saline water solution is all you really need to wash out your nose and sinuses?

any infection that comes into contact with citric acid will sting,if antibiotics haven't worked you should see your doctor

There is something I use for my colds called a nitty pot. Its a little plastic teapot-like container. You can get them anywhere I'm sure, especially Trader Joes, Lazy Acres, or other health food stores. It comes with a sodium mix in little packets you add to the warm water. You put the end of the pot to your nostril and pour it and the warm salt water will go up one nostril, into your sinus, and drip down into the other nostril. Its good to blow your nose after doing this, it helps A LOT. I recommend doing it in the shower, the steam will help as well. If you aren't able to get a nitty pot, you can use anything that will have the same effect and simply use sea salt. Good Luck!

the warm water might make the extract evaporate, I'm not sure if it's be worth it
I agree- salt water would be better, but even just steaming your face with warm water would help open up passages

if you dilute it with water it shouldn't

If its diluted with water should be ok. I use if for all sorts, its brilliant stuff.
