1 mg or less is fine. Only take it before bedtime. After taking nightly or as needed for 30 days, stop for one to two weeks, then resume. As a precaution, always discuss all your supplements with your health care provider to see if they should be taken together.

The best melatonin is the sublingual form, one drop full under the tongue right before bed. www.emersonecologics.com has one for sale.

'mcg` is 'MilliGrams, .. 1/1000 gm.s
As to "How much should I take..
Without medical advice, ...none.

weirddd u should never take more than 3 mg, but im not sure what mcg means...never seen it like that. That stuff is known for giving people nightmares, so be prepared.

MELATONIN./...NO SIR...I WONT HAVE IT//./IT IS FOUL I SAY...IT MADE ME HIBERNATE FUR 5 MONTHS.

I WILL NEVER USE THAT WEIGHT LOSS PRODUCT AGAIN....IT SENT ME TO TEH CLEANERS....I WAS HOODWINKED UND BAMOOZLED BY THE CHARLATINS.

GET A GOOD DIET AND LOSSE A FEW POUNDS I SAY.

STOP TAHT MELATONIN....STOPIT.

IT AINT GOOD FOT YOUR HEALTH I SAY.

Melatonin dosage is utterly unique to each individual (like fingerprints). Some people need only a tiny dose while others need a large dose for the same effect.
My suggestion would be to get sublingual tablets in a small dose and keep taking one at a time until you get sleepy.

mcg= microgram
mg= miligram

Good Luck!!!
