Poor little thing? Eat more foods rich in vitamin C ~ in particular, limes and lemons, also oranges, strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, leafy and green vegies, red and green peppers?

Loads of freshly squeezed juices are good too?

Pump up her fresh filtered water intake as the happiest and healthiest body will always be the most hydrated one?

Avoid sugar as bacteria will only multiply and feed on sugar. Also avoid B complex thieves such as caffeine, tea, sodas and soft drinks, alcohol .............. all these things will also do a great job of dehydrating you?

Take a B complex supplement as the B complex of vitamins are essential for healthy neural digestive and immune system functioning and will bolster her system and help it deal with the stress of being ill?

vitamin C will bolster your immunity and help to torch those nasty cold and flu germs?

I managed to catch a nasty flu 2 weeks ago and my symptoms all but disappeared within 5 - 6 days ~ apparently my desire for that tangy taste of limes has spared me?

Squeeze the juice of half a lime or lemon into a cup of hot water and sip on that ~ add honey to taste as honey also has antiobiotic properties in it?

Then eat the remainder of the lime or lemon (bar the skin of course) ............. the vitamin C content of fresh lemons and limes is very potent and will knock a sore throat and cold / flu within a few days and give you some degree of immediate relief.

Only thing is, protect the enamel on your pearly whites by rinsing your mouth out with water afterwards?

Eucalyptus oil has long been respected for its ability to lower temperatures and help the respiratory tract by loosening and removing mucus during attacks of bronchitis, coughs, flu, sinusitis and throat infections. Its antiviral and antibacterial action will deter further growth of the bacteria or virus?

Put a capfull of eucalyptus oil into a hot bath and soak in that for 15 - 20 minutes luxuriously inhaling the steamy wonderfull vapours.......... this will help enormously in loosening congestion and mucus from your chest and respiratory tract.

Put a few drops of eucalyptus oil also onto a hanky and lie it next to your pillow at night to help ease breathing.

Fill a salad bowl with hot water and put 1/2 a capfull of eucalyptus oil into it ~ make a tent with a towel over your head and lean over the bowl and inhale the steamy eucalypt vapours ........... being carefull not to get so close that you burn your face?

Caution ~ Do not use eucalyptus oil if you suffer from epilepsy or high blood pressure ....... if either is the case simply substitute with tea tree oil which is also a brilliant antiviral and antibacterial?

Good health to you?

Get her to be brave and eat the limes hun ~ amazing stuff?

CHEERS
?

DayQuill helps with most of the symptoms.

For the headache part -- make a solution to put in a nasal spray bottle. To 1/4 C. boiling water add 1 tsp. baking soda. Allow to cool. Put in nasal spray bottle, and spray every few hours into nostrils. Clears headache almost instantly.

Natural remedies... Keep her well hydrated, have her drink plenty of water and orange juice for vitamin C to boost her immune system. Have her get plenty of rest, going to bed on time. She should be fine by tomorrow!

This might seem disgusting, but an easy way to check on sick she is, is when she blows her nose see what color her snot is. If it's any shade of yellow, she's perfectly fine, and her symptoms may be allergies and not a cold. If it's greenish, then she's got some form of a cold virus. Hope that helps.

vitamin C---helps lighten the symptoms--excess gives diarhea !

hot chili peppers--clears sinuses funny nose but can really affect stomach/intestines !

running---supposed to raise body temp and thus help fight the infection, I don't believe that one myself it seems it would worsen the lousy feeling !

"___BATUK" TEA is the one I tried for cough /sore throat, it helped slightly but tastes horrible !

There are at least ?dozen teas reputed to give cold relief---a visit to a chinese supermarket in my area revealed an entire length of shelving containing nothing but teas !Ther were literally thousands of them and mostly described in Chinese writing---the store had a clerk who helped me select one that suited my purpose---I had to trust him since I have no knowledge of either the language nor the herbs.

(I don't care if its hangnails or hemorrhoids ! they've got a tea to fix it !)

If you take natural remedies a cold will clear up in a few days.

If you don't take anything it will also clear up in a few days.

See how alt med 'works'?

Colds are an accumulation of toxins in the body. The body is trying to rid itself of these toxins through the nose, lungs and sinuses. Vitamin C is always great. I usually squeeze lemon into hot water and sip it slowly throughout the day. I eat grapefruits too. By the next morning, I am usually on the mend.

(On the first sign of a cold, a good thing to take is Echinacea. It stops a cold before it gets a hold of your system. It works wonders.)

Oscillococcinum, vitamin c, zinc, garlic, and tea with honey and lemon.

I make ginger tea grind fresh ginger put it in the tea ball cook it and add lemon and honey
