Problem with vitamin B5 and melesma, any suggestions?!

Question: Hello all,

I have been taking vitamin B5 for my adrenals, I later changed this to pantethine just in case my body was unable to convert the B5. However, I have a problem, I have melesma and since taking the pantethine I've noticed its gotten far worse. My skin has taken on a grainy, grey colour and the darker bits of my face are more prominant. What frustrates me is that on other hand the pathethine is helping: my weight has decreaeses, my mind is clearer, and I have more energy, I just can't take the side effects. So, is there an alternative to pathethine supplements, maybe a vegtable where I can find it naturally? And before anyone asks I have done a liver/colon/kidney flush, which is why my worsening melesma is so baffling.

Answers would be gratefully received.

It sounds like you're having an allergic reaction to something in the product. I would try either a different brand of Pantethine (to see if it's one of the other ingredients or the actual form of Pantethine) or I would go back to standard B5 if you didn't have a reaction to that.
If that doesn't help, then you may want to get a different supplement. For example, if you are looking for support for your Adrenal Gland, L-Tyrosine can help, as can an Adrenal Cortex complex, Adrenal Polypeptide, or even some other glands (from other animals... yeah, it sounds gross, but they help) can help. Shop around and see what kind of products you can find. Good luck!
