Has anybody had trouble taking simvastatin -?!

Hi there - yes I have. Predominantly I have suffered really bad night disturbances which include inability to sleep and bad dreams. I have taken to taking it in the mornings instead which does away with the sleep issues but I am aware that it is less effective taken at that time. When my prescription finishes, I will ask my GP to change it to another one.
I was going to say that I haven't had any trouble taking it, until I read the answer that said about disturbing dreams. I do get those but hadn't connected it with Simvastatin. I will have to check with my doctor.
If you are having bad side effects, you need to go back to your doctor and ask for a change of medication. There are many statins available, so you should be able to find one that suits you better. Good luck.
