Do natural remedies work?!

Question: I am really sick of people giving me the thumbs down on natural pet remedies that I have used for years and works. I have found that the vets have not always steered me in the right direction and the natural cures have been lifesavers.

They DO work, though it depends upon the animal itself and the ailment....in my experience for the most part the natural remedies are as effective as the chemicals, with the possible exception of pesticides for fleas, which I will occasionally use when i have to.

I would compare the effectiveness of natural remedies on pets to the same types of remedies for humans, save the placebo effect, which is a human thing.

Vets are often retailing the goods they prescribe you which is something that would never fly for human medications. Particularly with prescription foods and some medications, many vets do have a financial interest in you using the prescription items.

please make the question more clear.

Don't worry about the TD. If it works for you, keep giving advice that works for you! Someone may appreciate it, you never know!

There are many stubborn dog owners here I've noticed.....

I'd be willing to try a natural remedy!

ya they are

Some do, some do not.

How is your kitten with the bitten ear? Is she healing all right? Was it your cat or am I at the out edges of reality?

You obviously have experience with your pets -- so ignore the Nay Sayers, and write a book to show them up!

living things tend to heal themselfs, drugs tend to help in the process. and i'd highly doubt you have the knowledge to know if the "natural remedy" is actually having an effect or not(again most things heal naturally)

and don't get cought up in the whole "all natural=safe" rhetoric. nature knows best for the creature, not the human. is all natural is all safe than how do you explain snake venom, poison ivy, and every other toxin produced by other life forms?

Yes they do work. And not only I believe that. A lot of other people too believe it. You can see the example on Mamaherb. It lists all the people who have benefited form a particular treatment.

It sound like your making a statement and not asking a question . You know the answer ;why ask? Follow your heart .If it works do it!
