What kind pf plant is this?!
Question: In a friends room I found an ebay box with a plant part in it. Heres what I saw
Size-Golf ball
Color-tanish
Stem-(cut off) about 1/8-1/4" Diameter
Other-The ball had a bloom like top with tiny sprigs that formed a cup, it also rattled when shaken. I split on open and there were allot of tiny black seeds inside.
What kind of plant is this? I beleive it was bought for consumption of some sort maybe for a natural high? Or tea?....but I have no clue what it is.

Poppy seed pods rattle when you shake them just like you said.
These can be used for food.. but it's probably going to be used for the other purpose: Opium.
