Hey Airborne users! Does it work, or not?!

Question: The company that makes the Airborne Effervescent Health Formula products that claim to "ward off" the bacteria and germs that cause the common cold has agreed to pay close to $24 million in refunds to customers for false advertising. Apparently, there is no concrete evidence that the product actually works. However, many loyal customers of Airborne swear by the troubled product. So if you have used this product before, does it really work?

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!

I used to fly a lot for work. I was always getting sick. Another frequent flyer gave me airborn and I didn't get sick. I started using it all the time and didn't get sick. Maybe it's all in my head, but it beats getting a head cold from being on a plane with a few hundred other people. Sorry they got sued, but it worked for me and I'll keep using it.

I own it. Doesn't work.

I think the only difference it makes, is that you THINK your protected, and are therefore more optimistic, and whether optimism plays a role in getting ill, I don't fully know, but it might.

It doesn't work and has been removed from shelves.

No!!! Get your refund too :)

I have nothing but good things to say about airborne i've been using it since they were a little company that hardly anyone knew about

I don't think it really works, but i hadn't heard anything about it being pulled from shelves. While I doubt it actually prevents anything, it isn't bad for you, it's basically a vitamin pill mixed with alka-seltzer. Taking a vitamin is a good idea, but a regular pill is easier and a helluva lot cheaper.

I will say, though, that when I am sick and wake up with that gross scratchy phlegm-y throat, airborne is about the only thing I can manage to get down. The fizziness definitely does feel refreshing, more so than juice or soda.

what DOES work, however, is Zicam. That sh*t is amazing.

the only reason the powers that be want it taken down is because they HATE that it works. The FDA, and the AMA are the ONLY ones allowed to synthetically produce and patent anything that supposedly works. It pisses them off that this natural herbal remedy is making millions. Heres the thing, it is an immunity booster, so to say it doesnt work is ridiculous, because the people who take it and are still sick for a few days, may have been sick for another 10 days without it, how do they know??? I can tell you, I, and my children,, when we feel the first signals of something take it, and we rarey EVER get any sicker, and when we are sick and take it, it seems to speed recovery to a couple days, compared to weeks for some people. So, is it magic?? No.. its just common sense and things that our bodies need to recover from and prevent illness. Simple. I like the product.
