Answers: Whats the best way to get rid of hiccups?

if you look at your wrist, you will notice a divot right in the center.. this is an acupressure point...just hold it, you dont need to use a lot of pressure..hold it for a few minutes and they should disappear..i do it to my husband all the time when i cant stand the sound of his hiccups anymore :)

hold ur breath for a minute.
drink nine big sips of water without taking a break and breathing.
eat honey.

eat a spoonful of sugar...guarenteed...works every time in seconds

Eat square processed cheese. It doesn't sound like it works, but it seriously does ;)

Take three big deep breaths and then hold your breath for about 30 seconds to a minute.

Take both hands and put them on your forhead vertical above each eye and hold them there untill hiccups are gone.

Drink a whole glass of water, but put a butter knife it in, and put the part of the knife thats sticking up against your forehead, it makes you tilt your head way far back and gets rid of them, or swallow water while inverted!

I grab a new can or bottle of a carbonated drink and drink as much as I can without a stop. Then I give out a healthy belch or two and they are gone.

breath in as far as you can until it almost hurts. like a really really deep breath and hold it as long as you can, take a short breath and repeat for about 5 times. it always works for me... i have also heard that the herb dill works

press right behind your earlobe..theres a groove there and that takes them away instantly for me. another spot is about 3 thumb lengths above your navel, press there until they're gone. drinking water right before you hiccup also works for me.

Take 5 fast sips of water without breathing

Gargle with Buckley's Cough Mixture that's what cures my Hiccups! I use to use Salt it worked sometime but not always.
The Buckley's way hasn't failed me yet. On Listerine bottle says it can be used to cure Hiccups but I've not tried Listerine for that!
