Tigerbalm Vs. Ralgex?!

Question: I'm allergic to Ralgex, I tried it years ago and came out in a skin rash, does anyone know if Tigerbalm uses the same ingredients? I'm a dancer and could really do with some good muscle rub or some sort!

Try mixing your own massage oil using Essential Oils in a good base oil, that way you can experiment with different essences and check you are not alergic to any. Tigerbalm has some pretty 'hot' oils in it and I found I got the same reaction as I did with Ralgex.

Although individual oils do have healing properties most of the immediate benefit for aching muscles is in the actual massage; it can help if you massage before you exercise too.

The heating effect of Ralgex and the camphor oil in Tigerbalm can be irritants and some folk don't think they do any longterm good. However heat does help sore muscles feel better in the short term so warm up any oil before you use it or even lie on a pre-heated electric blanket for a while.

Stretching after exercise and massage are the two really helpfull things to relax tight muscles.

not sure about tiger balm but I have tried ibuprofen gel and its very soothing for muscle aches and pains.....
Good luck and hope it helps.....

I have used Tiger Balm for years, I swear by it. I got all of mine from Singapore and I have about 2doz jars
