Is Salt Anti-Bacterial?!


Question: My Friend uses it to wash her face for acne, and she has BEAUTIFUL skin.. she said it wipes out the oil in her face and kills germs. Is it really true that salt is antibacteiral?

From my experiences yes. Just a few days ago I had strep throat, but I can't afford to go to the doctor and get antibiotics. So I started gargling with salt water to help ease the pain. It was gone in three days. Same amount of time with antibiotics.

So I would say yes, it does kill germs. Try it!!

There may be some bacteria that do not like a saline environment, but salt is not an antibacterial agent. Even if it was killing bacteria would not result in beautiful skin, unless it was to treat acne.
