What is lamb's placenta?!

If it says "Lamb's Placenta", then by law, it would have to have the placenta from a lamb... and yes, that's the afterbirth stuff. Some people plant placentas under a tree to help nourish it, and I've heard of some people that eat the placenta or put it in a health shake (YUK!!). But it does have a lot of nutrients that help to feed the fetus while it's in the womb, so it makes sense. I suppose they don't use human placenta because it's not really feasible to (because of the low number of people who would be willing to sell theirs), but the placenta from other animals is a cost-effective option because they aren't used for anything else and the animals don't object to it being used.
