Hoodia. There is a lot advertising on TV stating that their product has hoodia i!
Question: I understand that any product that has the natural hoodia that comes from one place in Africa, and rights belong to that tribe from that area. A seal of authenticity has to be on the label of that product. Has that law been changed or are a lot of companies doing the usual cheat on us and the tribe???

Actually, Hoodia comes from a plant that grows wild in several places in southern Africa.... It's not just owned by one tribe that has a huge grove of the trees or anything. It sounds like some company using some marketing hype to try to sell their product, and that might even be a story they made up and made a "special seal" for it.
Wiki says that the Hoodia Gordonii plant is grown all throughout South Africa and Namibia, and that's too wide of an area for a small tribe to cover. Plus, there's the fact that I've seen several very reputable companies that don't have "the seal" (I've never actually seen the seal), so I doubt that's fact. Check on the facts and you'll probably find the same thing. Good luck!
I agree with the previous reply.
