I use lavender essential oils. Take whiffs right from the bottle or put a bit on a wash cloth and smell it from there. Headaches are commonly caused by restriction of the blood vessels, lavender opens the vessels for blood to flow freely.

Headache can come from various reasons, and requires different medicine. Generic medicine you take are just painkillers.
For example mint tea helps if your headache is due to high blood pressure.
Also, having sex and/or good sleep almost always helps for me in all cases :]

What I have learned is that over 50% of headaches are caused by not drinking enough water, stay away from sweets.

what kind of headache - I get the pressure headache from the pressure in the air outside 25.42 and 25.77 does it every time. I just wait until the pressure moves.

Caffeine head ache - sip some caffeine

Dehydration headache - drink water and put cold wet towel on back of neck

Migraine like headache - water - dark room - quiet - cold damp washcloth to put on forehead ( might be sodium nitrate related watch in take)

Feverfew can reduce and ease migraines. However has to be taken on a daily basis and it wont help if you take it once a migraine has started.

Willow bark is said to relieve headaches.

There are various types of headaches, so if you were more specific I could give you more specific suggestions, but here are some general guidelines:

1. many headaches are caused by either dehydration [not drinking enough] or hypoglycemia [low blood sugar from not eating enough]. Make sure you are eating and drinking enough.

2. many people benefit from either hot or cold compresses.

3. You can use essential oils such as chamomile, lavender, or mint in an almond oil base as a soothing massage.

4. Avoid food colorings, MSG, and preservatives and check for food allergies as these can sometimes cause headaches as well.

5. Passiflora or melissa tea helps stress headaches

6. You can add probiotica, Omega-3, magnesium, and B-complex to your daily fare, which should also prove helpful

Try energy healing like Reiki, Quantum-Touch etc. You can learn Quantum-Touch straight from practising the exercises written in the book. Or you can seek help from a Quantum-Touch practitioner; he/she can do distance healing for you, so there's no need to even meet up!

I use pressure massage; place your hands on top of your head fingers interlaced in a straight line and move your scalp in small backwards and forwards motions. Or place fingers of each hand lined up on the centre of your forehead and massage in small circular movements moving along to your temples parting your hands as you go along.

Aromatherapy. Filling tub, totally immersing your head. These things work for my husband.....high stress and sugar are his triggers!
