Try putting hot compresses on it and put calendula cream on it. The hot compresses will help encourage it to open and the calendula cream will kill bacteria in the open wound or even while it is still closed.

The hottest bath you can stand with half a bag of epson salt from cvs. Then cover using a&D ointment. Very good pain killers. Hydrocodone works great!
Do you know if it a boil or a sebaceas cyst or tumor? placement? hard or soft? painful during touch, moveable? discolored? Heat makes blood go to area, ice makes blood go from area...Heat can make it pop.... If abscess, that usually means infected--red, swelling,pus. If on the hand, usually sebaceas cyst.. May need to go to Dr.
