What are the dangers of peppermint tea?!

Question: The only danger I know of is it can give you heartburn and indigestion. It's supposed to help with upset stomachs and such, and generally works, but it soothes the sphincter between your stomach and esophagus, causing acid to back up, which causes the heartburn and stuff. People with with GERD or people who suffer heartburn often probably shouldn't drink it.

Peppermint tea is wonderfull stuff ? If you use the loose leaf organic variety it will assist in digestion and generally resolve an acid tummy as it "cuts" through fatty foods and allows them to be digested more smoothly. It will also reduce gassiness and flatulence. Peppermint tea is also good in relieving nausea ie ~ with travel sickness and morning sickness. It also has an uplifting effect on your mood and will promote a sense of clarity of mind and clear thinking.

The peppermint plant is full of the natural oil methal (or menthol) which has antiseptic, calming, antispasmodic and mucus inhibiting qualities .............. :0)

No danger there buddy ........ unless ofcourse you have an allergy to menthol and is definitely not to be used by infants and children though ?

Only the organic variety will produce these qualities as the commercial and tea bag varieties have had way too much of the essential oils pulverised from them and could never possibly be of any therapeutic benefit ?

CHEERS
?

It does cause indigestion. But does help digestion and other stomach disorder.

if you spill it on yourself while it is scalding hot you may find yourself burnt and running for the flowing cold water. other than that it is pretty safe.
