Any help for extreme ear pain?!

Question: I've had an ear ache for almost 2 weeks now; it's not gotten better or worse.

I'm a normal healthy individual with no health problems aside from controlled epilepsy (over a year controlled) I have not had any fever, sinus problems, lymph node problems or anything else; because of this I don't believe it's an infection - my ear simply hurts deep inside the canal.

There is no ringing, pain radiating toward the jaw or neck - simply a clogged feeling and a lot of pain.

I have tried gently cleaning the canal with q-tips but there is no blockage of wax in the canal. Warm compresses temporarily relieve the pain, cold compresses did no good to aleviate anything. Peroxide which is an antibacterial did not help either. I've tried ear candling which was ineffective as well. The only thing that has provided about a 20% reduction in pain was a mixed set of OTC herbal drops from a local walmart.

Any ideas as to natural remedies to aleviate pain? Right now a doctor is not an option.

- Bael (Aegle marmelos) The root of the bael tree is used in a unique manner to treat ear problems. A stiff root of the tree is dipped in neem oil and it is lighted. The oil dripping from this root is allowed to fall into the ear. This brings about tremendous relief in ear aches and infections.
