Question: if it is medically necessary then insurance should cover it. call them and check

Answers: if it is medically necessary then insurance should cover it. call them and check

I would recommend calling and checking. Usually if a procedure is medically necessary they will cover it.

I seriously doubt that your insurance covers it. The best way to cleanse your colon (at least get a lot cleaned out) is by getting some metamucil and putting a pinch of cayanne pepper in it. If you take this (which is the ingrediants for many of the colon cleansers) you will have an inexpensive way to clean out everything that is backed up.
As for colonics, they are not healthy. They can dehydrate you and wash away many needed bacteria. Certain types of harmless bacteria exist in your bowels to help with the digestion process and to fight dangerous bacteria. If you "cleanse" your colon to well you will become suseptable to these dangerous bacteria and could become very ill.
Also the lining of your intestines has a mucous that keeps things moving along in a safe manner. If you remove to much of this mucous you could cause a dangerous blockage.
Moral of the story? Let your body take care of your body. Most of the time it knows what it's doing much better than you do.

The only way I can see colonies being covered is if it is required for a surgery (the only real reason to get one).
