What you need to to is soak your foot in water, and then with a set of nail clippers use the blade with the curve in it to scrape out the dead skin under the toenail. Do this 2 or 3 times each week till it feels better and you can file the toenail straight across so you dont get another one. If this dosent work go to a podiatrist and get the toenail removed

yeah do that.

It helps draw out the infection and reduce the swelling

omg i had an ingrown tonail welcome to the club .. thats wat my doctor sa tdo

Yes. Epsom salt works. You need to squeeze the infection out of the toenail, and pull the nail up at the corner or wherever it's ingrone. What the epsom salt does, is takes out the infection. Hope I helped!

i have had 4 ingrown toenails...what you do is try to spread the opening and soak it in epsom salt and water, it cleans it and kills the puss and sometimes totally heals it.

Depends on how infected your toe is. If it is too infected epsom salt won't do anything and at times can actually make it worse. Best thing to do is see a doctor and see what they think.

Epsom salt works great, after each soak it take some tape and tape your toe and pull the skin away from the nail and wrap the tape so it prevents the edge of the nail from digging back into the skin. You'll have to experiment a bit to make this work, but basically any wrapping technique that frees the skin and keeps it there is fine. Then apply a small amount of a topical over-the-counter liquid antiseptic

soaks out the infection and softens the nail so it doesnt hurt so badly.
best of luck

It works even better if you add about ten drops of tea tree oil to it. Good luck!

Epsom salts are known for being able to soothe cuts and is anti-inflammatory which is needed in the case of having an ingrown toenail. It's antiseptic which is good in avoiding infections.
