Thyroid is lazy/ shedding hair/herbs and vitamins?!

Question: I saw an alternative med doctor b/c of excessive hair shedding this was a couple months ago. The doc told me my thyroid was very lazy (and other flaws with health as well) and that my body was basicly taking some nutrience it needed from my hair thus helping my hair to fall out. Since then I have really noticed the way my hair seems so thin when I actualy have thick hair. I never ordered the vitamins/herbs prescribed b/c I am interested in knowing 1st will they help the hair that has fallen reappear which will increase my volume in hair or will they just stop they shedding? What can I expect with these vitamins? please inform me if you can..THANKS

I don't know what was ordered for you, but I know when I started to take selenium, my hair started to grow back.

Ask your alternative med. doctor...

Did they do blood tests to support it too?

Without knowing what the supplements are and the details of your health no one can answer that except you.

You need to get your thyroid balanced so try something. It takes a long time to get in in balance naturally sometimes depending on how long it has been off or how bad it is.

kelp is a boon for thyroid help and it contains so many trace minerals so you may want to explore that route and it is very inexpensive to get kelp tablets.
